Clients included leading executive search businesses, global recruitment firms and cross-regional recruitment firms.I built the business from scratch and successfully made a large number of placements by focusing on recruitment talent with great personalities, energy and excellent billings and connect them with firms where they excelled and outperformed the competition.

I founded NewChinaCareer.com to solve a puzzling gap in China’s world of online recruitment and high-end employment. The site was entirely in English, thus its jobseekers must read the language. This made it attractive to companies seeking to recruit bilingual speakers. While a few of China’s major job boards accept English language postings, only NewChinaCareer was English-only.
At it’s peak, 20,000 job postings were listed and the site was visited by more than 60,000 job seekers per month.
Advertising companies included IBM, Microsoft, PwC, CB Richard Ellis, GE, Google, UBS, Applied Materials, Regus and hundreds of recruitment firms such as Michael Page, Charterhouse, Robert Walters and Hudson.

I joined the company during the exciting period of its start-up years. With a small team of young and aggressive people we managed to grow the company significantly in both market share and revenue. I was responsible for closing a large number of accounts within the staffing and recruitment industry. The company was acquired by VNU Media for EUR 28 million in 2005 and I left after shortly after to join one of my early clients to help them with their journey into Asia.
